Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This marks his initial trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates he has won 21 titles at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular reactions on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players traded break points in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial tour victory, took control to push for a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
