Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
